Betty Lennox, the Fort Osage High School graduate who went on to win the Most Valuable Player award in the 2004 WNBA Championship, will conduct a clinic from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at Bridger Middle School on Speck Road in Independence.

The one-day camp is $35. It is open to students in grades 3-12.

The camp is followed by an All-Star Game at William Chrisman High School (1223 N. Noland Road) at 6 p.m. Admission is $5.

Lennox, the 2000 WNBA Rookie of the Year with the Minnesota Lynx, led the Seattle Storm to the 2004 WNBA title against the Connecticut Sun, averaging 22.3 points during the Storm's championship run. Lennox, who was named to one WNBA All-Star Game, averaged 12.1 points over her 12-year career, that ended in 2011 with the Tulsa Shock.
