Missouri police say officer shot person wielding knife

BUFFALO – Police in the southwestern Missouri town of Buffalo report that one of its officers shot and injured a knife-wielding person during a confrontation on a city street. The shooting happened Thursday evening when police were called to a business for reports of a person who had entered a business brandishing a knife and making threats, the Buffalo Police Department said on its Facebook page.
