Man who stuffed wife’s body in freezer sentenced to 25 years

MARSHFIELD – A Missouri man who pleaded guilty to stuffing his wife’s body in a freezer more than six years ago has been sentenced to 25 years in prison. Larry Dinwiddie, 59, of Marshfield, was sentenced Monday after he pleaded guilty in November to second-degree murder in the death of Cynthia Dinwiddie, television station KYTV reported.

No charges in eviction deputy shooting case

County prosecutors will not file charges against Jackson County court deputies who shot and wounded a Blue Springs man last year after the man pointed an air rifle at the deputies. The deputies were delivering an eviction notice to a tenant, identified in a November letter from the prosecutor's office as Donald Smith, then 38, when Smith was shot Jan.

US combat jet crashes

BANGKOK – A U.S. Navy F35C Lightning II combat jet conducting exercises in the South China Sea crashed while trying to land on the deck of an American aircraft carrier, injuring seven sailors, the military said Tuesday.
