Curators reject temporary mask mandate

The University of Missouri System Board of Curators in a special meeting Tuesday rejected two recommendations by system President Mun Choi to require masks on campus for the first two weeks of the semester.

Report: At-home tests easy to use

An independent patient safety group Monday unveiled the first public ranking of the most widely used quick and cheap at-home COVID-19 tests based on how easy the products are for consumers to use. ECRI, a nonprofit, also focused on health care quality and cost-effectiveness, evaluated seven no-prescription rapid antigen tests sold via Amazon and chain retailers.

Former K-State QB Miller dies at age 49

Matt Miller, a key part of Kansas State’s football resurgence in the 1990s, died Saturday at age 49. Miller, who also played baseball and coached football for the Wildcats, was under hospice care at the time of his death after being diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer in 2020.

Man’s anger begins to boil over in everyday exchanges

Dear Abby: I am becoming more and more irritated with people. My fuse is short and I’m prone to bursts of anger. Today I watched another driver run a red light, and I proceeded to honk my horn, lower my window and give the guy my middle finger. (Yeah, I know it was risky, but I couldn’t resist the impulse.)
