Fern Louise Cary

Fern Louise Cary, 68, of Independence, Mo. passed away Thursday, June 23, 2022 at St. Luke’s East hospital in Lee’s Summit, Mo. A celebration gathering and viewing will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday evening, June 29, 2022 at the Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E. 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Cremation will follow the visitation. Fern was born October 24, 1953 in Kansas City, Mo. to Olaf Frank and Alberta Fern (Hibbs) Reilley and has been a lifelong area resident graduating from Van Horn High School in 1971. She had worked for a number of years from St. Luke’s Health Systems as a medical transcriptionist before she retired in September of 2020. She enjoyed sewing and embroidery and spending time with her family. She devoted these last several years to helping take care of her grandchildren who she loved dearly. She found her true love, Rickey Ray Cary, in 2007 and enjoyed their time together until his passing in 2012. She is survived by; her daughter, Jennifer Talato and husband John of Independence; four grandchildren, Noah, Mahlea, Aryana and Israel all of the home and many extended family and friends. MAGA secessionists versus Republicans who really did save our country after 2020

MAGA was always supposed to be about “taking our country back.” But do Donald Trump’s most ardent soldiers even want to be part of the United States of America? Texas Republicans not only want to secede but also imagine that after backing out of our country, they would live in an Eden of their own creation where there are no state or federal income taxes.
