Patricia R. “Patty” Johnson passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. She was 87. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 27 at Mount Washington Cemetery in Independence, Mo.

A moment in the spotlight

Sam Aubuchon’s first taste of being a part of a national touring company was a bit overwhelming. The 2020 Blue Springs High School graduate, who opted out of several scholarship offers to head to Broadway and work his way to center stage, had completed an audition for the role of Art Garfunkel, the famed balladeer who teamed with Paul Simon to become a hugely successful music duo of the 1960s and ‘70s.
