Student explores his musical options

The bell has just signaled the end of another school day, and Truman High School junior Adam LeBlanc is eager to get to his “second home.” He walks into the music room, greets some classmates, helps move some chairs and sits behind a piano he has become accustomed to, as has found his true passion in composing music. “Adam, oh my goodness, he is a natural,” said Dana Mengel, a former Truman student who is now the composing coach at Music/Arts Institute in Independence.

The fans who attended the Comets’ 8-6 win over Milwaukee last Saturday saw a historic moment in the history of Kansas City indoor soccer. Comets player/coach Leo Gibson, who ranks among the most iconic players in the history of the sport, owned every offensive record in the storied history of Kansas City indoor soccer – except one – dating back to the original 1980s Comets (1979-1991) and the Kansas City Attack (1989-2005).

WASHINGTON (AP) — As the war in Ukraine rages on, diplomats trying to salvage the languishing 2015 Iran nuclear deal have been forging ahead with negotiations despite distractions caused by the conflict. They now appear to be near the cusp of a deal that would bring the U.S. back into the accord and bring Iran back into compliance with limits on its nuclear program.

Gerald Richard Small

Gerald Richard Small passed away in his home on March 12th, 2022, at the age of 85. His loving and creative spirit will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
