Bears stopped one win short of final four

Only three Jefferson City Helias players scored against William Chrisman in their Class 5 state quarterfinal Saturday afternoon at Cable Dahmer Arena. But that was enough to end the Bears’ season and send the Crusaders to the state final four.

Comets clinch playoff berth

The Kansas City Comets had more than one reason to celebrate Friday night. The Comets, wearing vintage Kansas City Attack jerseys, claimed a special MASL Throwback Night victory at Cable Dahmer Arena, and it had nothing to do with “The Lawman” returning to the net.

Mavericks go winless on Utah road trip

WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah – The Kansas City Mavericks return to Cable Dahmer Arena Tuesday to try and get back on the winning track following three road losses last week to the Utah Grizzlies. After first-place Utah beat the Mavericks 5-4 in overtime last Wednesday, the Grizzlies claimed a 3-1 win Friday and 6-3 victory Saturday.
