Sunday I was going into visit my 81-year-old friend when I ran into her neighbor Jill. Jill had a kitten that someone was going to “throw away!” When I hear things like this, I just want to scream.
Woman concerned for nephew’s care by her younger sister
DEAR ABBY: My younger sister, “Fern,” gave birth to a son three months ago. Since she returned to work, it seems like all she does is dump her baby, “Ricky,” on others so she can sleep with her special someone. I watched Ricky a couple of times while they ran errands, even though they have someone living with them to keep an eye on the baby.

University Health testing: Regular testing hours are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. weekdays and 8 a.m. to noon Saturdays. Testing is available at the Lakewood campus at 7900 Lee’s Summit Road, Kansas City, and the Hospital Hill site at 2211 Charlotte, Kansas City.
