Flooding leaves many stranded in Yellowstone area
HELENA, Mont. (AP) — Raging floodwaters that pulled houses into rivers and forced rescues by air and boat began to slowly recede Tuesday across the Yellowstone region, leaving tourists and others stranded after roads and bridges were knocked out by torrential rains that swelled waterways to record levels.

Responsible pet owners need to step up
There are many homeless animals that need good homes. This problem of animal overpopulation is exacerbated by backyard breeders and all the unaltered animals that are reproducing. This problem will not solve itself until people start taking responsibility for their animals and get them spayed and neutered.

Auditions near for a musical satire
The City Theatre of Independence is holding auditions for its September 2022 production of the Tonywinning musical satire “Urinetown.” It tells the story of a large city living through a water shortage so severe that the government has banned private toilets. Citizens are required to use public restrooms, regulated by a malevolent company that charges admission for the most basic human needs.
