CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — A NASA spacecraft on Mars is headed for a dusty demise.
The Community Blood Center, which provides 90% of all the blood used in hospitals in the metro area, has announced a blood emergency this month. There has been an alarming drop in donations such that the current blood supply is sufficient only to handle the need for two or three days, with blood types O and B at a one- to two-day supply.
