The Independence Garden Club meets at 6 p.m. Monday. There is a new location -- Westminster Hall at 417 W. Lexington Ave. It’s a potluck social, and there is no speaker.

Trash drop-off Saturday in Independence
The monthly Independence trash drop-off is set for 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. It’s at 875 Vista Ave., off Truman Road east of Missouri 291.
