Independence outlines plans for shift from buses to point-to-point service

If the Independence City Council on Monday approves a contract with the Kansas City Area Transportation Authority, which replaces the IndeBus service with a ride-share service, the move could affect hundreds of regular riders who use the six intra-city routes. The shift, which the city says is due to rising costs and a lack of funding, will happen in January.
