Regan Getman of Independence has graduated with a degree in journalism and mass communications from Benedictine College in Atchison, Kansas, following the spring semester. Getman was one of 485 students earning their degrees, the largest graduating class in school history.

For a couple of years now, Independence municipal services has used a mixed approach to street maintenance, rather than overlaying streets – an attempt to lengthen the higher quality lifespan of streets, maintain more of those streets around the city and stretch budget dollars.
