WASHINGTON – States are being given the go-ahead to build a nationwide network of electric vehicle charging stations that would place new or upgraded stations every 50 miles along interstate highways, part of the Biden administration’s plan to spur widespread adoption of the zeroemission cars.

Clay County Sheriff's Office investigators are again asking the public for help in a year-old homicide case involving an Independence woman. Alesha Reade, 45, went missing a year ago Wednesday, and her remains were found two days later in rural Clay County.

COLUMBIA – A measure passed Thursday by the GOP-led state House would raise the bar to put constitutional amendments to a public vote and be passed.
