Truman Library hosts Presidents Day events
The Truman Presidential Library in Independence will have two special events Monday to mark Presidents Day, with historical reenactors portraying Abraham Lincoln and Harry Truman and the annual Bess Wallace Tea, honoring the first lady whose 140th birthday was Thursday. The Presidents Day events are free and open to the public and do not include regular museum admission.
A Hallmark star comes to Independence to hang out with Chiefs fans (and fans of love)
After filming this summer in Independence and Kansas City for the Hallmark movie “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story” and meeting many Chiefs fans, actor Tyler Hynes felt the need to meet and celebrate with them this week if the Chiefs won the Super Bowl.
