Blue Springs South High School football coach Alan Wilmes was pleased following an intense football practice early last week.
As first-year Truman High School head football coach Greg Smith was walking off the field, following his Patriots’ jamboree at Van Horn High School last Friday night, a referee approached him. “He said, ‘Coach, this is the best Truman football team I’ve seen in the past 15-20 years,’” Smith said with a touch of pride in his voice.
