Tim Knapp

Tim Knapp, 76, a life-long resident of Independence, Mo. passed away November 11, 2022, at Liberty Hospital. Tim retired from Lafarge. He was proud of his multiple trophies playing in pool tournaments, drag racing and baseball. He loved his many friends and family and loved to enthusiastically express his opinion on multiple subjects. He was a long-time member of the FOE 3717 in Sugar Creek, Mo. He is survived by his long-time partner Beverly Luttrell; his children Tim DePauw (Joanne) of Illinois City, Ill., Christina Knapp of Grain Valley, Mo., and Chad Knapp (Stacy) of Grain Valley. He was also survived by his sister Sheila Knapp and brother Rodney Knapp, both from Independence. He was loved by his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at Mound Grove Cemetery in Independence Mo. gate #3 at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday November 19, 2022. A celebration of life immediately following at Fraternal Order of Eagles, 3717 located at 11424 E US 24Hwy, Sugar Creek, Mo.

Roger Lynn Coleman

Roger Lynn Coleman, 75, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away on November 6, 2022, at his home. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2022, at Heartland Funeral Home in Raytown, Mo., with memorial service to follow at 12 p.m. Mr. Coleman was born May 15, 1947, in Kansas City, Mo. He was a radioman in the Army, serving with the 4th Battalion/14th Infantry in the Vietnam War. He was a hero in many eyes, and a proud American who loved his country. He was preceded in death by his father Hugh Coleman, mother Myrtle Coleman, sister Barbara Coleman, and brother Howard Coleman. He is survived by his sister Gayle Haskins, granddaughter Caitlyn Coleman, and several nieces and nephews.
