Margaret Ann “Margie” Brazeal, 70, Independence, October 15, 2022. Speaks Suburban Chapel.

Melissa Smith, 54, of Independence, Mo., passed away on Thursday, October 13, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Blue Springs, Mo. Visitation will be from 10 - 11 a.m. on Friday, October 21, 2022, at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Friday following the visitation at the chapel with burial at Mound Grove Cemetery, Independence.

Jeannette Merle (Davis) Day of Independence, Mo. passed away October 8, 2022, at CenterPoint Medical Center. She was 81 years old. A private family gathering will be held at a later date. The family asks for donations to your church’s operating fund or a donation to a charity, such as the Alzheimer’s Association.

Edward Alan “Ted” Avery passed away unexpectedly while traveling in Brinnon, Wash. on October 7, 2022, at the age of 29. Private family burial will be held in Lobb Cemetery and a Celebration of Life honoring his spirit for adventure and life will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, October 23, 2022, at Living Hope Restoration Branch, 2425 S. Crysler Ave, Independence. Memorial contribution may be donated to the family to assist with bringing Ted home to his final resting place.

Ramonia M. Rhodes, 59, of Independence, Mo., passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, at Centerpoint Medical Center, Independence.
