John Anthony DeLeon, 60, of Kansas City, Mo. passed away Friday, June 17, 2022 at NorthCare Hospice. Services were at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 21, 2022 at Speaks Suburban Chapel. Burial was in Oak Ridge Memory Gardens. The family greeted friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Monday, June 20, 2022 at the chapel.
David Wayne Bottcher, 61, of Independence, MO, died Wednesday, June 15, 2022 at University Health Truman Medical Center in Kansas City. He was born April 17, 1961 in Kansas City, MO a son of Robert L.
Marjorie a. Hammond was born on July 2, 1932 in Sullivan, Ill. to Elmer H. Wood and Marjorie W. Wood. Marjorie grew up in Sullivan and later went to the University of Illinois. She received her BS from the University of Illinois. After graduation she worked in St. Louis, Mo. for three years. At that point Marjorie decided to make a career change and become a teacher. She attended UMKC and received her MS there. She taught 3rd grade one year in the Kansas City Missouri School District. Marjorie then changed to the Independence School District where she taught for 27 years. Marjorie taught at Noland and Santa Fe Trail Schools.
Patricia R. “Patty” Johnson passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, June 14, 2022. She was 87. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 27 at Mount Washington Cemetery in Independence, Mo.
