Margaret Jo Zeller

Margaret Jo Zeller, 93, of Independence, MO passed away Monday, May 9, 2022 at the Meyer Care Center in Higginsville, MO. A Celebration of Life service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 20, 2022 at Bethel Baptist Church in Independence, MO. Private inurnment will be held at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, MO. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Bethel Baptist Church or One Community Hospice. Margaret was born February 10, 1929 in Wichita Falls, TX to Rankin and Mary (Adams) Prichard and graduated from New Franklin High School in New Franklin, MO. She was a beloved wife, mother, and homemaker and had worked for over 20 years for Sears, Roebuck & Co. She enjoyed ceramics, painting, gardening, collecting dolls, cooking, crocheting and especially spending time with her family. Margaret loved this time of year when new life was blooming. She will be missed by many. Margaret never met a stranger. If you asked her how she was, she might say, “Fine as Frog Hair!” Margaret had a strong faith and was a longtime member of Bethel Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Rod Zeller and wife Joan of Lexington, MO and a grandson, Robby Zeller of Lexington, MO. Richard Evan “Rick” Harms

Richard Evan “Rick” Harms of Independence, MO, passed away far too soon on April 26, 2022. He was 60 years old. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at Speaks Suburban Chapel, 18020 E 39th St., Independence, MO 64055. Rick was born on June 17, 1961, in Kansas City, MO to Louis and Mary (Lee) Harms. He graduated from Truman High School in 1979 and went on to graduate on the Dean’s List from Missouri University of Science & Technology in Rolla, MO with a degree in chemical engineering and a member of Beta Sigma Psi. He was a skilled “rock hound” collecting and polishing gemstones and crystals, as well as a flint knapper, carving numerous beautiful arrowheads. Rick was also a loving brother and uncle to his family. He will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents and his nephews, Jade Harms and Greyson White. He leaves behind his brothers, David (Sandra) Harms and Randall Harms, sister, Cynthia Harms; nieces and nephews, Jacob Cordry, Garrett (Emilie) White, Brittny Harms, Courtney White, Chelsea White, Jewlian Cordry and Alex Cleghorn; several great-nieces and nephews; and his beloved dog, Boots. William “Craig” Bowen

William “Craig” Bowen, 66, of Sedalia, Missouri, formerly of Independence, Missouri, went to be with his Savior on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at his home, surrounded by his family.
