February 11, 1945 March 15, 2022 Our precious husband, father, brother and grandfather left us on March 15, 2022. He was an adventurer, a lover of fun with an incredible sense of humor, but also enjoyed a generosity of spirit.

Lowell Dean Tomlin

Lowell Dean Tomlin, a devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Monday, March 7, 2022 after losing a hard fought 3 month battle with his health to return home to his beloved wife Peggy of 61 years. He was 81. Dean was born July 3, 1940 in Kansas City, MO to Marjorie and John Tomlin. Dean graduated from East High School where he exceled in all sports and met his wife, Peggy. He went on to work for Armco Steel where he held many different positions before retiring after over 32 years. After retiring from Armco Dean went on to have a 25-year career as a real estate agent. Dean loved playing golf and watching sports of any kind. Over the years he coached many kids and always loved watching his grandkids play sports in person. Dean loved to talk, had an infectious smile and was quick to make friends. Dean deeply loved his family. He will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. Dean is survived by his wife, Peggy of 61 years; sons, John Tomlin (Sara) and Michael Tomlin (Becky); niece, Melanie Haas (David); 7 grandchildren, Jared, Ryan (Alexis), Brandon (Gigi), Anne (Peter), Ali (Jerry), Matthew (Jordon) and Gracie; 1 great grandchild, Sagan; and his siblings, John R. Tomlin, Mary Grace Tomlin, Jerry Stone and Dennis Tomlin. He is preceded in death by his parents and many of his closest friends. A visitation to honor Dean will be held on Saturday, March 26th, from to 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a memorial mass to follow at 11:00 a.m., both at St. Mark Catholic Church, 3736 S. Nicholas Joseph Alonge

Nicholas Joseph Alonge of Independence, MO passed away suddenly March 6th at Centerpoint Medical Center. Nick was born October 18, 1957 in Kansas City, KS. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, friend, and the Pit Boss of A Little BBQ Joint. He was a well known and loved member of the community, often seen driving around in his Model A. Nick was preceded in death by his parents, Nicholas and Joella and his eldest son, Nicholas “Buddy” Alonge. Nick is survived by his wife Christine Alonge, his children, Nicole (Pat) Monahan, Christopher (Daniela) Alonge, Keri Shockey, Sara (Steven) Shockey and Tina Alonge, two sisters, Carol (Dennis) Reardon and Sallie Cloughley, 14 grandchildren and one great granddaughter and many many other close friends who became family. There will be a celebration of life at The Little BBQ Joint from 4PM to 7PM March 21st, 2022. Please join us and come reminisce with some stories, which was one of Nick’s favorite things to do. Gerald Richard Small

Gerald Richard Small passed away in his home on March 12th, 2022, at the age of 85. His loving and creative spirit will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
