Bob Buckley: Cities have options to tackle boarded-up houses

In my last column I wrote about the rehabilitation of a house across the street from the Memorial Building and the First Presbyterian Church by a nonprofit organization using a state law called the Missouri Abandoned Housing Act that addresses properties that are in a state of disrepair and are delinquent on property taxes. I encounter the house almost daily as I walk with a friend in my neighborhood.
