Brad Mayfield was one of those rare high school coaches who always shunned the spotlight, while turning all the attention toward his Blue Springs High School baseball team. It’s now impossible for Mayfield to remain in the shadows as he will be inducted into the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame on May 18 at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in Springfield.
