Chambers reverses Jaguars’ fortunes
As he left the dugout to pitch against rival Blue Springs in the top of the seventh inning, Blue Springs South starter John Chambers cast a glance to the left field scoreboard. “I knew I didn’t have many pitches left, and I really wanted that complete-game shutout,” said Chambers, who coaxed a 4-6-3 double play from the last batter he was allowed to face to set off a celebration on the field following a 6-0 victory that ended South’s four-game losing streak.
