Boy Scout Troop 492, sponsored by John Snow, DDS, will be holding an Eagle Court of Honor at 7 p.m. April 26 at Susquehanna Baptist Church, 17800 E. Susquehanna Ridge, Independence. Those receiving their Eagle Scout Award are Austin Hyatt, Caden Stone and Nicholas Williams. 

Austin Noah Hyatt, the son of Bill Hyatt and Heather King, joined Troop 492 in August 2011. His record of achievement includes 28 merit badges.

Austin attended 4 years at the H. Roe Bartle Scout Camp, where he attained the rank of Fire Builder Shadow of Whispering Seminole Spirit in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. His High Adventure participation includes Wisconsin, St. Louis, South Dakota and Oklahoma.

Leadership has been shown through the positions of Den Chief, Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Senior Patrol Leader and currently, Assistant Scoutmaster.

For his Eagle service project, he planned and supervised the landscaping and installation of a picnic table at Cler-Mont Elementary School.

Austin is a senior at Fort Osage High School, where he was on the tennis team and in the National Art Honor Society. 

Caden Stone, the son of James Stone and Faith Stone, joined Troop 492 in December 2010, graduating from Pack 492 after earning the Arrow of Light Award. His record of achievement includes 36 merit badges, the Dutch Oven Patch and the World Conservation Award.

Caden attended H. Roe Bartle Scout Camp for 5 years and attained the rank of Warrior Path of the Red Eyed Charging Deer in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. His high adventure participation includes two times to South Dakota, Wisconsin, Arkansas and St. Louis.

Leadership has been shown through positions of Patrol Leader, Assistant Senior Patrol Leader, Troop Guide and Junior Assistant Scoutmaster.

For his Eagle service project, he planned and supervised the clearing and landscaping for Susquehanna Assembly of God.

Caden is a sophomore at Fort Osage High School and is involved in debate, the Chess Club and the National Catholic Youth Conference.

Nicholas Vincent James Williams, the son of Sherman and Angela Williams, joined Troop 492 in December 2010, graduating from Pack 492 after earning the Arrow of Light Award. His record of achievement includes 45 merit badges and the World Conservation Award, the Nova Award and the God and Church Religious Award.

Nick attended H. Roe Bartle Scout Camp for 5 years and attained the rank of Warrior Swift Defending Cardinal in the Tribe of Mic-O-Say. His High Adventure participation includes Arkansas, Wisconsin, South Dakota, St. Louis and Oklahoma.

Leadership has been shown through the positions of Den Chief, Patrol Leader and Troop Guide.

For his Eagle service project, he planned and supervised the clearing, covering and mulching, then planting 30 Daylilies at Blue Ridge Baptist Church.

Nick is a sophomore at Fort Osage High School. He is a recommended 2nd degree Black Belt in Taekwondo.
