The Blue Springs North Branch of Mid-Continent Public Library is offering the following activities for the month of December. The library is located at 850 N.W. Hunter Drive. All activities are free, but registration is required, call 816-224-8772. 

• Christmas Around the World, for all ages, 10 a.m. Dec. 3. Storyteller Jo Ho celebrates the season of light with festive Christmas stories from around the world – guaranteed to brighten your holidays. 

• Let’s Talk About Your Android Device, for adults, 2 p.m. Dec. 5. Learn some of the basic tips and tricks for using an Android device. 

• 10 Steps to Selling Your Food Product in Stores, for adults, 6:30 p.m. Dec. 6. If you dream of getting your food product onto store shelves, let Xander Winkel from the Ennovation Center’s food incubator help you realize it. Learn the regulations, how to work with grocery stores, how to market your product, and how to scale your business to keep up with demand. 

• Storytime with Santa and Mrs. Claus, for all ages, 10 a.m. Dec. 8. Santa and Mrs. Claus are making a special trip from the North Pole to read a holiday story at the Library. After the story, sit on Santa’s lap to tell him what you want for Christmas. Parents, don’t forget your cameras! 

• Introduction to Crochet, for adults, 7 p.m. Dec. 8 and 15. Learn the basics of crochet during this two-session class, and create a unique mug rug that uses beginning stitches and techniques. A supply list is available at the branch and online. 

• Science City: Artbots, for teens, 6:30 p.m. Dec. 13. Design, create, and implement a take-home robot that can draw patterns. Learn to alter the robot’s design to change the pattern. 

• A Christmas Carol-LIVE, for ages 6 and older, 7 p.m. Dec. 14. Join Hampstead Stage for this classic holiday tale of miserly Ebenezer Scrooge and the four ghosts who teach him the true meaning of Christmas. 

• Teen Anime, 6:30 p.m. Dec. 27. Join fellow fanatics for fun!
