How will you survive the holiday season? The joyful spirit of the holidays may not be how you really feel inside. If this time of year finds you stressed and sad, this workshop will provide you with helpful information and tips on how to better cope during the holiday season. The workshop will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Dec. 6 at Englewood Baptist Church Sanctuary, 1900 N.E. Englewood Road, Kansas City.
After attending this program, you'll be able to identify 62 reasons that can cause grief during the holiday season; distinguish grief myths, reactions and styles; and learn practical ideas and strategies to cope with the holidays.
This workshop, sponsored by Mental Health America of the Heartland, will be of benefit to the community, healthcare workers and mental health professionals.
The workshop is free, but reservations are required, go to www.mhah.org and click on “events.” The registration deadline is Dec. 1. For more information, contact Stacy Davis at firstname.lastname@example.org or 913-281-2221, ext. 112.
