Gerald was born on April 30, 1929 in Smithton, Mo. Gerald spent his life in service to others, from his younger years on a dairy farm, to serving his country in the U.S. Army from 1951-1956. After 30 years, he retired from GM and embraced life. Gerald was a “go to handyman,” with an innate ability to fix anything. He was always working, from tinkering on cars to cultivating his garden. His love for his family was always hi focus, from spending time at the shooting range, to beating everyone at cornhole. Every night at home with the love of his life Shirley, you’d find him in his favorite spot, his reclining chair.
Gerald was preceded in death by his daughter and son-in-law, Roberta and Martin Tolliver; grandson, Andrew Pycior; daughter and son-in-law, Janette and Ronald Pycior; daughter, Geralyn Schlobohm; six brothers and four sisters.
