Helen D. Sibert, 83, of Independence, Mo,, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at Oak Grove Nursing & Rehab.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Royer’s New Salem Funeral Home, Independence; burial in New Salem Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. until service time at the chapel. Rosary will be prayed at 9:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3846 W. 75th St., Prairie Village, KS 66208.
Helen was born on December 17, 1938, in Beaumont, Texas. She was an Administrative Assistant for Jackson County Health Department, retiring after 20 years. She was a member of the P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter IY, the Alter and Rosary Society, Nativity of Mary Church, Nativity Elementary volunteer reading tutor. She loved visiting with her family and friends and traveling to Beaumont, Texas with her husband.
Helen was preceded in death by her parents John and Evina Baker, siblings; Gilford Baker, Gussy Robbins, Sonny Baker, and Joseph Baker in Beaumont, Texas.
Her survivors include her husband of 63 years, Rex E. Sibert of the home; siblings in Beaumont, Texas; Rose Crenshaw (Cleo) and Thomas Baker (Brenda). Daughters residing locally; Robin Hancox (Mark), Renee Richards (Donnie), Rhonda Gardner,Rosalind Phillips (Carlas), Rachel Hummel (John), Rexanne Hill (Geoff); 14 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
