James Russell Tabor passed away January 9, 2023, in Blue Springs, Mo. He was born in Wray, Colo. on January 16, 1932, to Laura (Curtis) and Harold Tabor. Jim attended Lamoni High School, Graceland University, Kansas University, University of Washington and University of Indiana. He served on the Board of Trustees for Graceland University for 12 years.
 Jim met Barbara Jean Fears at Graceland College and they married on October 16, 1954, in Bernie, Mo. Jim and Jean lived and worked (Midland Financial) in Des Moines, Iowa for 35 years before moving to Blue Springs. Jim and Jean were devoted members of the Community of Christ Church.
 Jim is survived by his wife of 68 years, Barbara Jean Tabor, and their children: Susan Bradford (Kent), Bill Tabor (Koni), Nancy Smith (Terry); seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
 A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, February 18 at Good Shepherd Community of Christ, 4341 Blue Ridge Blvd in KCMO. Visitation with family at 2 p.m. and Memorial Service at 3 p.m.
