She graduated fromWilliam Chrisman HighSchool in 1958 and fromCentral Missouri StateUniversity with an AssociatesDegree in 1960. Shemarried her sweetheart,Charles Dale Durbin, on June 14, 1960, in Independence,Mo.. They enjoyed 60 wonderful years of love,family, church, and friends until Charles went to bewith his Lord in December of 2020. Judy was anaccomplished administrative assistant, working in thatposition for several businesses in and around KansasCity. She loved helping others as she served as churchclerk at the churches she attended and volunteered atthe high school in Independence. She is survived byson Michael Durbin (Shari) of Boise, Idaho. Twodaughters Michelle Arnold (Randy) of Buckner, Mo.,Monica Cross (Kevin) of Centerview, Mo.; sister,Sherry Cox of Clarksburg, Mo.; seven grandchildrenand six great-grandchildren with another on the way;two nephews Joey Cox and Jeremy Cox; one niece,Julie Fisher, and many other friends. She was precededin death by her parents; her husband; her brother-inlawPaul Cox, niece Jennifer Cox and great-niece,Tabatha Randall. Her Celebration of Life will be onTuesday, August 9, 2022, at 2 p.m. at Newcomer’sFloral Hills Funeral Home with visitation at 1 p.m. Inlieu of flowers the family requests for donations bemade to the Alzheimer’s Association.
