Lunches provided (by delivery or take out) by area community centers for the week beginning March 23.

Vesper Hall, 400 N.W. Vesper St., Blue Springs. Due to the coronavirus emergency, meals are being offered by delivery only. To reserve a meal call 816-228-0181 by 2 p.m. one working day prior to the meal. Cost: $3.50 donation for ages 60 and older; $5.75 fee for ages 59 and younger.

• Monday: Chicken a la king, steamed cabbage, stewed tomatoes, strawberries and pineapple.

• Tuesday: Salisbury steak, mashed potatoes and gravy, brussel sprouts, sliced pears.

• Wednesday: Liver and onions, mashed potatoes with gravy, chuck wagon corn, red and green grapes.

• Thursday: Smothered pork chops, mashed potatoes, steamed peas, cinnamon applesauce.

• Friday: Pulled pork sandwich, spinach and red onion salad, baked beans, berries medley, Jell-O poke cake.

Fairmount Community Center, 217 S. Cedar St., Independence. Due to the coronavirus emergency, meals are being offered only for take out. Reservations for these meals should be made 24 hours in advance: call 254-8334. Each meal is served with bread or roll and milk.

• Monday: Spaghetti and meatballs, California vegetables, dessert.

• Tuesday: Cinnamon apple pork loin, buttered noodles, peas and carrots, dessert.

• Wednesday: Taco salad, dessert.

• Thursday: Italian chicken, au gratin potatoes, Italian vegetables, dessert.

• Friday: Butter/garlic baked fish, wild rice, carrots, dessert.

• Wednesday: Tuna noodle casserole, cauliflower and peas, cucumber onion salad, banana, wheat bread.

• Thursday: Beef patty, salad, steak fries, banana, whole grain bun.

• Friday: Oven-fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, broccoli, white whole grain bread, cake.
