The Mid-Continent Public Library is offering an entire day of virtual art instruction and art appreciation programs this Saturday, April 18.

To participate in these live events, go to where the classes and events will stream live on Saturday. If you visit before the events begin and like or follow the page, you will receive notices on your own Facebook page reminding you of these events.

The events on Saturday will include:

• 9 a.m., Young Rembrandts: Draw a Patterned Cat. In this class you will learn to draw a patterned cat and will add your own unique style to the funky feline. Supplies you will need include: paper, pencil, eraser, and markers or crayons. This class is for ages 6 and up.

• 10:30a.m., Kansas City Art Institute: Adult Beginning Drawing. Enjoy a drawing class for adults. Supplies you will need include: paper, pencils, and erasers. This class is for adults.

• Noon, Kansas City Art Institute: Teen Ready-Made Jewelry. This class is designed for teens. A supply list will be posted soon.

• 1:30 p.m., Charlie Mylie: Something for You Book Reading: Join author/illustrator, Charlie Mylie, as he reads his debut picture book. This is for all ages.

• 3 p.m., An Afternoon with Amando Espinoza: Discover musician and instrument-maker, Amando Espinoza, and his unique fusion of Bolivian folk traditions and his personal musical wanderlust. This program is for all ages.
