The Missouri Prairie Foundation is hosting a native plant sale from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday, May 23 at 3005 Harrison St., Kansas City, in the parking lot just south of Ruby Jean’s.


In order to minimize contact, plants must be purchased online before the sale.


Native plants provide beauty as well as support for monarchs and other butterflies, native bees and hundreds of other beneficial insects. Because they are adapted to the Missouri climate, these require relatively little care.
