Independence Police are trying to identify a pedestrian injured in a motor vehicle crash Sunday evening.

The crash happened shortly after 7 p.m. in the area of Noland Road and 42nd Terrace. The man still is being treated at a local hospital, but police have not been able to identify him, even after a fingerprint scan.

The crash victim is a white male, possibly in his late 30s or early 40s, about 5-foot-10 to 6-feet tall, weighing approximately 160-175 pounds, with black receding hair and a long, black goatee. He was wearing dark clothing at the time of the crash and had several tattoos.
