A Lexington man died in a single-vehicle accident early Monday north of Oak Grove.

According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, 37-year-old Jonathan Beaver was driving east on Missouri FF, east of Route H (Outer Belt Road), at about 3:50 a.m., when his 2004 Chevrolet crossed over the westbound lane, travelled into the ditch, overturned and came to rest on its top in the roadway. Beaver was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Beaver was not wearing a seat belt.

• The highway patrol reported 10 fatalities from vehicle crashes across the state during the Thanksgiving holiday – from 6 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday. None of the fatality crashes occurred Wednesday or Thursday, but two of them occurred in the Troop A, Lee's Summit, area. A 17-year-old boy from Kearney died in a single-vehicle crash in Clay County, and a 65-year-old woman from Orrick died in two-vehicle crash in Sedalia due to the driver of another vehicle failing to stop for a red light.
