Breakfast and Blooms – 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Bingham-Waggoner Estate. Breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m., plus the American Legion Band of Greater Kansas City will provide entertainment while you eat. Garden tours begin at 10 a.m. The grounds of the estate will be the start of the tour, which features private local gardens. Tickets are $25, and include breakfast, the garden tour and a tour of the Bingham-Waggoner Estate to be used the day of the garden tour or any day by Oct. 31. Adaptive ice skating – Learn-to-Skate and sled hockey programs are at 2:15 p.m. Saturday at Centerpoint Medical Center Community Ice in  the Silverstein Eye Centers Arena, 19100 E. Valley View Pkwy., Independence. These programs are designed for athletes who have an intellectual and/or physical disability and would like to learn to ice skate, play hockey or play sled hockey for free. Old McDonald's Farm Show – This puppet show, performed by puppeteer Kraig Kensinger, will be held at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Puppetry Arts Institute, 11025 E. Winner Road, in the Englewood district of Independence. Tickets are $6, and are available at the door, but reservations are requested, call 833-9777.

Day of Dance at Missouri Town 1855 – Missouri Town 1855 Dancers will demonstrate their skills and teach your family how to dance the traditional dances of yesteryear, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, 8010 E. Park Road, Lee's Summit. Participants will learn a variety of contra dances (line dancing) under the direction of an experienced caller, set to the rhythm of stringed instruments.
