Wonderscope Children's Museum of Kansas City has joined Museums for All, a signature access program of the Association of Children’s Museums and the Institute of Museum and Library Services to encourage families of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum habits. Wonderscope is the first museum in Kansas City to offer this program and only one of three museums in the Kansas/Missouri bi-state region.
Museums for All enables low-income families to visit Wonderscope for a minimal fee of $3 per person with the presentation of an Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card. Families can also visit any participating museum year-round for a minimal fee.
This initiative represents a long stride toward the goal of reaching more children and parents, especially those living in poverty, with the valuable learning resources of museums.
Wonderscope, founded in 1989, provides fun, dynamic and hands-on exhibits and programs that integrate the arts, sciences, literature and music for children 8 years of age and younger, their parents and educators from across the metropolitan area.
