Independence residents can expect road closures today through Monday, as the annual Santa-Cali-Gon takes over the Independence Square for the Labor Day weekend.

Streets inside the festival boundaries – Truman Road south to Walnut Avenue, and Lynn Street west to Osage Street – will close at 5 p.m. for set-up and preparation. Vehicles will not be allowed to access these areas without an authorized vendor tag.

The 46th annual Santa-Cali-Gon Days will kick off at noon Friday. Parking will be available in the Community of Christ Auditorium parking lot – River Boulevard and Walnut Avenue – with a $1 shuttle ride to festival grounds offered.
