The Blue Springs Fall Festival will host its sixth annual Car & Bike Show Sunday at 11th and Smith streets in the beer garden.

The event will have car and motorcycle division, and judges will choose the top three in each division.

Entrants can sign up for the show in advance at the Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce office, 1001 Main St., for $15. The entry fee is $20 the day of the show. An application can be found online at Check-in time will be 10 a.m. The event will be open to the public at noon.

Car show director Karen Brown said past shows have had classic restored cars that were made as early as the 1930s. Each show averages 30 to 40 car entries and two to three motorcycles.

“I’d like to see more than 100 entries this year,” Brown said. “Then we could have division and step up our game with trophies and stuff.”

“I would like to see more motorcycles, too.”

The three judges will score each vehicle or bike based on the paint job, the overall look, the quality of the interior, the engine and how good the wheels look.

For the first time, this year the car show will have a staging area with a screen where each car’s picture can be taken, so posters of it can be developed.

“It’s going to be a side view, one view of the car,” Brown said. “And they can buy a poster for $20.”
