The Community of Christ has named its two winners of the 2019 International Peace Award.

Specifically, Community of Christ will give awards to founder Gary White and Franciscan Mission Warehouse coordinator Sister Andrea Kantner. provides clean water and sanitation to millions of people. Franciscan Mission Warehouse – operated by the Sisters of St. Francis of the Holy Eucharist – collects surplus equipment and supplies from U.S. medical facilities, sending them to hospitals and clinics in impoverished areas.

“The Franciscan Mission Warehouse brings lifesaving medical supplies and resources to places where they are needed most,” said Sister Kantner. “We are honored to receive this award, and thrilled to have the opportunity to share our mission with others.”
