Police are investigating after a Monday afternoon shooting in Sugar Creek left one person injured.

Sugar Creek Police say they were called shortly after 1:30 p.m. for a possible shooting in the area of Norledge Avenue and Vermont Street. One victim was taken to the hospital for a gunshot wound and was reported in stable condition.

No further victim information is available, police said, and no suspects have yet been identified. A gold-colored late-90s Ford Taurus was seen leaving the area with a white trash bag over the front passenger window.
