The ticket sales kickoff event for the Blue Springs Downtown Alive! Piccadilly Gala is 5:30 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Buttress and Jack CPA's office at 1124 W. Main St., next to Brewer's Sports Bar & Grill.
The Piccadilly Gala, an auction benefit for Downtown Alive!, is 6 p.m. March 22 at the Adams Pointe Conference Center. On Monday, tickets for that event will be $45 each and all-in auction passes will be $30. After Monday, tickets will be $50 each, and all-in auction passes $35. Piccadilly Gala is a ladies night out and features a quarter auction where participants can win hundreds of dollars in gifts for only a few quarters. Designated bid amounts for items range from 25 cents to $3 per bid.
The theme for this year's gala is “Back to Woodstock,” celebrating the 50th anniversary of the famous rock music festival. Downtown Alive! lists the event attire as “funky and fun.”
Downtown Alive! is a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving and revitalizing downtown Blue Springs. Of late, the group has been responsible for raising funds to construct the gateway entrances for the downtown area.
