As the Jackson County Courthouse in downtown Kansas City remains closed until Feb. 19, the 16th Circuit Court has announced the following location changes for cases scheduled for Monday, Feb. 11 (all hearing times remain the same):
• Division 25, Judge Richard Standridge – Riederer Community Justice Complex, 1315 Locust St., Courtroom A; adult abuse cases scheduled for 8:30 a.m.
• Division 29, Judge Janette Rodecap – Riederer Community Justice Complex, Courtroom A; cases scheduled for 1:30 p.m., 2:30 p.m.
• Division 43, Commissioner David Kimminau – Riederer Community Justice Complex; cases scheduled for 9 a.m. in Div. 27 courtroom; cases scheduled for 10 a.m. in witness room.
For those who had a hearing scheduled for Monday downtown and your division is not listed, it has been canceled unless you have heard from your attorney or the judge's staff.
The courthouse has been closed since Jan. 31, when the first of two significant water line breaks happened, and the prolonged closure is to give crews time to make all necessary repairs. The court already was scheduled to be closed Feb. 12 and Feb. 18 for holidays.
