Two seniors at Fort Osage High School have been honored by the Rotary Club of Independence as students of the month.

• Megan Hall is an honor roll student and Top 10 Award recipient, first in her senior class and a Bright Flight scholarship recipient. She is president of the National Honor Society, vice president of the choir as well as an all-district choir member, three-year member of Touch of Class, first alternate for all-state choir and a member of the girls varisty golf team. She attended the Missouri Scholars Academy in 2017 and is a team leader for the Youth Advisory Council, junior board member at Neighborhood Dinners, and works at Dr. Mark’s Dental office as a dental assistant.

She plans to attend WIlliam Jewell College to double major in biochemistry and Spanish. She will also be a member of the choir. After receiving her bachelor’s degree, she plans to attend UMKC’s master’s of science in anesthesia program to become an anesthesiologist assistant.

She is the daughter of Blake and Allison Hall.

• Ty Baker is all-conference in football and basketball, as well as placing in all-district and all-state. He placed either first or second in all-conference and all-district his sophomore, junior and senior years. He was named an all star in the Missouri vs. Kansas game. He is also involved in the student council.

He plans to attend Missouri State University while playing football and will major in business.

He is the son of Suzanne Baker and Ed Baker.
