The Blue Springs Chamber of Commerce hosted its Chamber Feud competition finale, welcoming the final two teams, The Excels and The Dreamcrushers, to see who would make it the final round and see which individual would name the chamber’s annual Blue Springs Education Foundation scholarship.
The honor was won by Kim Finnigan, representing First American Title Insurance, who named the $4,000 scholarship the First American Title Eagle Scholarship during the chamber’s monthly luncheon on Thursday. The scholarship will be one of the four academic scholarships awarded by the chamber this year.
The criteria the chamber uses to judge scholarship recipients include a strong work ethic, determination, commitment to community involvement and pursuit of growth. Recipients must also have at least one parent or guardian who is employed by a chamber member business.
