Scattered to numerous thunderstorms are placing the Kansas City area under a flash flood warning as waters accumulate.

The warning runs through 7:45 p.m.

According to the National Weather Service, “all severe weather modes” will be possible, including large hail, damaging winds and isolated tornadoes.

The NWS reports the threat for flash flooding will continue through early Thursday, with total rainfall accumulations of two to four inches possible, which lead to rises on area rivers and streams.
