• Email for Beginners: 2 p.m. Dec. 13. Learn to understand your inbox, as well as how to write effective emails.

• Advanced Excel: 7 p.m. Dec. 17. Learn advanced skills to use with Microsoft Excel as this class practices ways to manage large amounts of data, and discusses basic spreadsheet printing. Attendance of the programs Beginning Excel and Intermediate Excel is suggested.

• Internet Safety: 2 p.m., Dec. 20. Protect yourself while surfing the web.

• Tech Talk: 2 p.m. Dec. 16. Bring your questions or just come to listen and learn from other participants. You can bring your own laptop computer or tablet.

• Book Club: 2 p.m. Dec. 17 and 23, 7 p.m. Dec. 19. Meet like-minded people, enjoy lively discussion, learn which books inspire others, and talk about your favorite books.

• Craft Group: 6 p.m. Dec. 10. Meet new people, quilt, knit, scrapbook, crochet and more.

• Intermediate ELL/ESL Classes for Adults/Clases de Ingles Inermediarias: 6:30 p.m. Dec. 16 and 18. Intermediate English classes will be guided by professional instructors with many years of experience. Learn how to communicate in social places, school, your job or during emergencies. Classes run for 90 minutes and will meet twice a week.

• “A Christmas Carol” – 10:30 a.m. Dec. 21. Kids are the cast, and Mr. Miles is the narrator of this interactive re-creation of Charles Dickens’ classic Christmas tale. All ages.

• Kid STEAM: 5 p.m. Dec. 17. Explore science, technology, engineering, arts and math. Ages 6 and up.

• Play and Learn Time: 4 p.m. Dec. 16, and 10 a.m. on Fridays. Preschool playtime designed to stimulate and strengthen early literacy skills. The open playtime allows you to come and go as your schedule permits. Ages 3 and up. No registration is required.

• Read and Feed: 4 to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, except when the library is closed. MCPL is partnering with Harvesters to provide free meals to kids 18 and under throughout the school year.

• Storytime for Babies: 9 a.m. Thursdays. Engaging storytime for babies, designed to build an early literacy foundation through play and one-on-one interaction with a parent or caregiver. Recommended for babies up to 18 months old and a one-on-one caregiver.

• Storytime for Families: 10 a.m. Thursdays. Stories, songs, movement activities and more. Designed for families of all ages.

• Storytime for Toddlers: 10 a.m Dec. 11 and 18. Parents and toddlers interact in an environment which will encourage early literacy. Designed for toddlers between 18 and 36 months old and one-on-one caregivers. Program may require parental participation. (Ages 2 and up)

• Stuffed Animal Sleepover: Dropoff – 9 a.m. Dec. 13. Event – 2 p.m. Dec. 14. The library’s stuffed animals invite your stuffed friends to a sleepover at their house. Drop off your friend at the library the day before. Then come back for a special program featuring a slideshow of their overnight adventures.

• Teens at the Library: 4 p.m. Dec. 11 and 18. It’s your time to hang at the library. Discover what we’ve planned just for you.
