What is it they do underground anyway? Discover the answers to these questions and more interesting facts about one of Missouri’s elusive burrowers. Open to all ages, with no registration required.

3 “Exit Laughing” – A show presented by City Theatre of Independence, 7:30 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, at the Sermon Center, 201 N. The show's author, Paul Elliot, will have a two-hour playwriting workshop 3-5 p.m. Saturday at the Sermon Center (the cost is $35), and there will also be a meet-and-greet with Elliot 5-7 p.m. Friday at Top Hat Winery, 120 S. 5 Boat show – The Kansas City Boat and Sportshow opens Thursday and runs through Sunday in downtown Kansas City's Bartle Hall, 301 W. 13th St. Hours are 2-9 p.m. Thursday, noon-9 p.m. Friday, noon-9 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $12 for adults (age 13-older) and free for children 12-younger (with a paid adult).
